happy birthday octobers!

Being roomies with the class monitress can only mean one thing.

My room is the official meeting place for all class meetings/gossip session.
And i think we are a pretty silly bunch of people.
Every weekday, you can be sure to find us in our bunk glued to our telly set watching..
《流行花园》Meteor Garden.
All of us have watched the show for N-times,
we know the synopsis of the show,
we know the lines of the show and we say it together.
but
we still continued to watch it;
laughed at the silly dressing;
squeal in delight when DaoMingSi or F4 appears.
And right after watching F4 strut their stuff, we switched our attention to a china movie channel which was showing some C-Grade HK action thriller. It got all of us excited because the film was filmed in SINGAPORE! So we were all delighted to see old Chinatown and a then-still undeveloped Loyang.
Hongyee started to comment on the lousy editing skills and those of us who took Video Production before started to rip the film apart, which was really hilarious and had many digs directed at a certain old man.
The class meeting ended with a mini birthday celebration for the October babies -Xiao Wei and Yao, who both happened to turn 21 this year!

And as usual, Meng infected all of us with his hyena-like laughter and Yao and Yu started their routine yellow talkshow. Guys are guys, yellow skin, yellow mind.

See what i mean?

Even though the modules are really nothing much to rave about
Even though the shopping aint as exciting as TaoBao
Even though the unruly culture of the locals irks me
Even though there isnt much eye candies to provide nutrients to my eyes
Even though the complaints will never end...
Because Singaporeans will never stop this habit

I am happy.
Because I have you guys with me.

to wudang and back

The previous weekend, a couple of us made a very bold move. We decided to embark on a trip to the famous Wu-Dang Shan by ourselves, without the school's involvement.
We planned the trip.
We sourced for accomodation.
We bought train tickets.
We took the train.
We went up the mountain.
ALL BY OURSELVES.
-proud grin-

It was all thanks to Hongyee's parents who came over to visit her that 1) we could go on the trip 2) my lappie is back in my hands! so I am eternally grateful to Hong Yee. =) The trip was a short 2D1N one but we had lots of fun.

And the best thing that the trip to Wu-Dang gave me was a bout of sickness, thus the long hiatus of this blog.
Being sick in China is the worst thing that can happen to you because you never know if the pills that you are popping are REALLY pills or just some useless tablets. The conditions of the hospital are indescribable. So, many of us turn to self-medication. I think after this China trip, all of us can be certified doctors. -nods-

But nevertheless, I'm savouring every second that I have in Wuhan now.
I mean,
I have other better things to do and better people to care about
than getting all ruffled up by unworthy issues.

xoxo

I always thought time flew but somehow the China days gets a little grudgingly slow. I turn my nose up at the vast cultural difference between the two cities and reminisced about the things and people i left behind and wonder how are things like; will be like.

Gossip Guys: Dan.Nate.Chuck

The one week of holidays was spent rotting away. I got started on "Gossip Girl" and am absolutely hooked on it. China DVD pirates are pretty efficient. This show was only released in the States in the earlier half of this year and they have the DVD out already. I am pretty sure when Season 2 ends somewhere this year, I will be able to get it before i fly home. But anyways.

School resumes in a few hours.
And i hope the storm has and will die down.
I do not wish to see all of us being entangle in this irritating web of arrangements.
It's irritating at why somehow we can never full tear ourselves away from this.
It's even more irritating when some people just do not understand or comprehend.
And assumes that someone will clear up the mess.
The big question here is :
Why can't people just grow up and learn some sense of responsibility?

gossip girl

DNR - Ice Cream
You talk to me
You speak with me
Don't sink before you rise baby
Don't fade away

You hesitate
You seem to wait
For all the time we had
Feels like a world away

Who's to say, we'll be ok
We will make it through the night
Don't wanna wake up in this state
I just want us both to smile

Cause we're the same
And i know that we'll never change
Look i bought your favourite ice cream
I dont wanna see it melt away

If you walk out now
I don't know if we could be the same
Baby just talk with me
Cause i want you to stay here with me

The memories
The things we did
I locked inside my heart
Where i know i won't forget

And now, who's to say, we'll be ok
We will make it through the night
Don't wanna wake up in this state
I just want us both to smile

Cause we're the same
And I know that we'll never change
look I bought your favorite ice cream
I don't want to see it melt away

If you walk out now
I don't know if we could be the same
Baby just talk with me
Cause I want you to stay here with me
I want you to stay here with me

HK dramas have a knack of choosing uber nice English songs that will keep repeating in the show. And most of the time, the songs they choose are not those mainstream songs by people we know like Rihanna?Oasis?.

I mean, Christine Glass and DNR?
Who the hell are they?

But the songs rock.
And i enjoy them very much.
The simple lyrics
The direct emotions.

happy china day

Heart of Greed II - Moonlight Resonance

My life has no more meaning after I finished "chionging" all 40 episodes of the above show. I watched till Episode 27 in Singapore before I flew off and when I arrived, my motivation was to hunt for DVD stores to buy the show. But luckily for my wallet, Allan from EE downloaded the show and therefore i have Episodes 11 - 40 in my hard disk now. Whoopee!

It's the National Day Holidays and I spent the whole of Tuesday rooted to my lappie's screen, crying, scolding, watching the show. For the whole of 40 episodes, I felt as though I was part of the show. Now, I am all alone. I sort of regret finishing it all in a day because I suddenly am at a lost of what to do for entertainment. -shrugs-

After many days of procrastinating, we finally made our way to Qian Gui 钱柜KTV for our karaoke fix! It came with buffet, a la K BOX's K buffet but of course the price is definitely heaven and earth different. 48 RMB -grins-

The place is pretty cool and miles better then our dear local K BOX. There's a bar table and even neon lights and musical instruments for us to play about! It's october now and january still seems so far away.

I like Wuhan but i love Singapore more.
Mixed feelings.
-shrugs-

I just need to find a motivation to make my China days easier.
