gosh, time sure flies. i cant believe i'm starting school soon. not that i'm complaining. one year out in the workforce, i'm practically DYING to return to my student status.
I went down to NP today with my mum to suss out lappies. yes, 2 computer idiots went down together to look for lappies. so if we got cheated, we wont be able to realise it till a computer whiz points it out to us. BUT~ luckily God gave me chris n joy who are more "well-endowed" in this i.t area, i simply took all brochures and threw it to them to choose for me. if i were to choose by myself, i'll probably be taken in by the looks, weight n price. what in earth is RAM and whatnot? i only know the band R.E.M, if it helps..? -laughs-
the thing that struck me lately was..really how blessed i am. with friends that care (alot =D)and a nice cushy (too cushy in fact..i grew FAT!) job at little lamb and coffeebean. it's time to take my stars and Maker.=)
okay excuse me while i go fiddle with my newly-acquired digicam. did i mention that guy gave me a 1GB card wrongly instead of the supposed 256MB card? -grins-

so what now.
i'm like FINALLY 18! haha. i'm such a old hag at heart that i felt that i was turning 81 instead of 18. phyllis jie-jie suggested holding a party to celebrate my turning of 18 but i was too lazy to organise and i prefer it no frills. maybe when i get my key at 21, i might hold a big bash that is worthy of my wonkiness and insanity.
dinner was the main agenda of my celebration. it's funny how often we let our stomach rule our heads. sat was with joy chow eunice n nat at essential brew where we witnessed how irritatingly loud and hilarious SDU gathering goes about. is it me or is essential brew the prime choice for SDU?
sunday had a mini celebration at church =) and later dinner at crystal jade macau with kok jer eddie foo jac vern yun yihui n chow. i love them all..! love the flowers, cd and heineken. (jac-i'm positive, that night at balcony, it wasnt heinenken!) i was forced to down the can of heinenken but i cant la. had to ask the guys for help. eddie n kok had the cheek to say, "i don't drink heinenken, i drink YAKULT only..!" ... MY FOOT!

the lovely girls! trigger-happiness after dessert ..=)

the rat pack..haha

i told u, our stomach rule our heads ... and etiquette. -sheepish-

my bday flower! now, when will a guy give one bouquet to me?

apparently, the guys prefer to let their hands n wallets take the limelight.

my buddies since the days of mrs teo's "pelvic"-scratching days! =D
so yes, many love n thanks to those who remembered my birthday and smsed or wished me. it means a lot to me, really. -hands on heart- i dont know will i still be celebrating my coming of age(s) with the same gang but i'll always remember my 18 celebration! =)
footnote: i realised..sometimes the people whom u are most concerned about, frankly, dont give a damn about you. peace out..!

fickled pickled tinkled
the posting results are out and -drumroll please-
i got into mass com. =)
but yes, wo fan jian. i appealed for Chinese studies. thought about this alot and after wasting $10 on amendments for jae, i still want chinese stuides. like what melvin said, he doesnt want me to follow in his fallacy. lol. i have no idea how anita dear can stand mr mel-cha! but yea. happy for u dear!
hung out with terri michelle n annie yesterday. went for a picnic at marina city park where a bunch of korean tourists ambushed us. they were like staring at us munching on chicken and chips. i wanted to be nice to offer them some singaporean food but i realise, we dont have enough! the view was breath-taking though. too bad i do not have a camera..HINT HINT! -winks-
terri did a tarot reading for me. though i'm sceptical about how it works. some things she said hit home but .. there's always buts.
the four of us chatted and laughed till 3.30am at our second stop-esplanade.maybe that is why i got my rotund figure, i indulged in too much merry-making. haha. but i'm convinced, i am weird for my age. it's lovely to have the 3 of them around. and the things we do and share , probably reflects the state of mind of a certain age at a certain circumstance.
terri, 27, in between jobs and s.i 2 success.
michelle, 20, fresh htm grad. to work for profession or passion?
annie, 20, to be coffeebean manager or venture elsewhere
me, 17-18, chinese studies wannabe. a tinkled ficled pickle.
i wonder, what will my state of mind be at the age of 28. will i be a old hag who frequents sdu or a working woman who is zen with the things happening around? see, i told you, i'm WEIRD for my age. must be the hormones.
