the interview

so i went for the interview for mass com on friday. it was alight la. there were like 2 rounds of interview? at the first round, the lecturer asked to see my portfolio and asked me about my cca and why i wanted to join mass com. i think it went okay and girl guides upped my prospect. the lecturer was quite nice and smiley with me..so i presume it's a sunny weather!

second round. 2 lecturers and i was grouped with 2 other girls who speak with a accent. one of the girl was quite haughty though. tried to be nice to her but she snapped back at me so FINE. the 3 of us had to draw a card and was asked to comment about the stereotyping about women in the society.

i think overall i did alright? dun think the lecturers were impressed by it's okay la..=D i'll just let God decide where He wanna put me =)

but somehow..i think i want chinese studies more. oh gosh, i never knew choosing a courseis so nerve-wrecking la!!! -pulls hair out-

why on earth did i do this?

i realised i din post my results. so here goes nothing. L1R5-16 L1B4-11 (or 9 with CCA deduction). i guess the only reason why i managed to score such alright results is due to my A1 in Lit and A2 in Eng. =) my humans remained as B3 but alright la. i'm satisfied with my A1 in lit! and i did fulfilled my aim of hitting an average 6pts for these 3 subjects!

oh and i hastily changed my JAE application...

yea.i was swayed about my decision on chinese studies. initially i was real apprehensive and daunted at the fact of using Chinese as a main language and wondering about how well i would adapt in the fluency of chinese writing. on the other hand, i was turned off by the competitiveness of mass com and the extent of my creativity juices plus use of english. YES, i'm just that NOT confident of myself. =(

so at the very last minute before JAE closed, i amended my choices to the one above at 4pm on the dot. and after that, anxiety hit me again. Spent awhile grousing to kelvin and melissa at the JAE counter and on the car ride with guanghan chris and kelly..i realised...my heart was with CHINESE STUDIES. -sigh- they all felt that i was more passionate about it and since my direction has always been towards the chinese media..i guess when posting's out on 3 march, i'll appeal out of mass com (if i get in) and cross my fingers for chinese studies. okay..maybe not.

maybe i should just take these few weeks to seek God, seek friends opinion and decide between mass com or chinese studies..help, anyone?

good news

the results are out and really thank God..i think i did well! haha. thanks to all the lovelies who stood by me for the past year where i got a bloody c6 for english and had to endure mud-slinging snide remarks from supposed friends..

so YES..i'm finally eligible for mass com thru JAE but i chose Chinese studies as my first choice and mass com for JPSAE. not sure if i'll get in but yea..i'll see where God leads me. =)

oh and working at Ngee Ann is a real slacker job. no one comes all the way down here to do JAE and i'm secretly using the many lappies avaliable to blog! -guffaws- it's the easiest job in the world. slack slack slack and get paid..and can peep at the choices people make! lolx. boredom drove us to surf MOE's websites and even resorted to watching TAMIL eLearning videos to pass our time! haha. the power of boredom.

did i mention the lecturer of health sciences (nursing) is real cute and..."chubby'? haha he's our JAE Slacker Gang's Mr Humpty Dumpty!! and now everyone thinks i have a fetish for overweight guys..-groans-
